Title: Who's Your Daddy? Summary: Will creates a stir when his dad comes to Bring Your Father To School Day. Author's note: I'm bored as hell. It's 12:45 at night and nothing to do. So I'm going to write a story for all the good X-Files fans out there. I hope you enjoy! Classroom 346/kindergarten "Welcome to bring your father to school day. I want to thank all you fathers for taking the time out of your day to come. You will be coming up one by one with your son or daughter to explain to the class what you do for a living. We will start with William's dad." I finish speaking to everyone and take my seat as William and his father move to the front of the class. "This is my daddy. You can call him Mulder because he don't like his first name," cute little six-year-old William Mulder says to the class. Mr. Mulder waves to the children and other fathers and looks down at William. "My daddy is a FBI agent!" William says and everyone says "WOW!" "He works on X-Files. X-Files are stuff that are unexplained." William says and a student raises her hand to ask a question. "What's your question Emma?" I ask. "Do you carry a gun?" she asks Mr. Mulder. "Yes I do." "Can we see it?" "I don't think so." "Okay, as I was saying. My daddy works with X-Files. He works with aliens and monsters," William says. I think little William has quite an imagination. "William that's not-" Mr. Mulder says but William keeps on talking. "My mommy also works on the X-Files. That's how Mommy and Daddy met. My mommy was taken by government peoples and did bad test on her. But she is all right now. My daddy was taken by aliens right before I was born. Did you know that I'm an X-file too! 'cause my mommy wasn't able to have babies but she had me. I might be alien, because I can do things other kids can't. Or it can be because my mommy and daddy had the alien virus medicine so I have powers." You want to know what I think? I think that is nuts. He belongs in a nut house for god sakes. "But I also catch criminals and put them in jail," Mr. Mulder tells the class but everyone is still in shock. William jumps back into his presentation. "And also my Auntie Samantha was taken by aliens. But we don't know where she is." Everyone goes quiet. "And that's what my daddy does for a job!" he says cheerfully. Everyone else just sits there in disbelief. Everyone, student or parent, sits there in silence. "Any questions?" William asks and every single hand rises up. Even mine. This father is one strange guy. The End
