Dana Nichols sat down at her computer. It had been a long day, William had had a fever and Emma was no help, but she wasn't even a month old, how much of a help could she be?

But Richard was no help, and he could be. Of course he wasn't, he was in the skys, flying his airplanes, like always.

Dana logged on AOL and clicked 'Read New Mail' She opened the mail from her new friend first.

I admit, I'm not a mom, I'm a father. I have a five-year-old son, Thomas and an 18-month-old daughter, Erin. My wife dissappeared when Erin was 10 months old, so it's just me. Congratulations on the birth of Emma on Veterans Day.

So, William's 5 as well? When was he born, Tommy was born October 4. Yes, I'm in the FBI, but I work from a field office. I used to work right from headquarters. What is your medical specialty?I'm sorry that your husband is always flying. What airline does he work for?

FBI Dad Dana smiled. She had met him the previous night in a Mom's Only chat at AOL. He seemed nice enough and having guy to talk to beside her son was nice.

Shame on you for being in a moms chat! =o) I'm sorry to hear about your wife, how long were you married? I used to work from the FBI headquarters. William was born September 11. My medical specialty is forensic pathology, but I'm on maturnity leave till January 4th. My husband, Richard, works for AmericaLines. My real name is Dana and I live in Waterford, Michigan. Where do you live? What's your name? It's nice to talk to a working parents, most of those mothers are stay-at-home and personally, I often feel like a single parent with Richard always gone.

Fox Mulder was exhausted. The babysitter was late in coming, so he was late for his date, not like he really wanted to go anyway, but still. Tommy was complaining that he didn't like kindergarten and Erin was learning to walk. He sat down at the computer, bound to check his e-mail, logged on and hit 'Read New Mail' He read Dana's mail and was surprised by the similaritys to 'His Dana' as he still called her. He pressed 'reply'.

I live in Shelton, Connecticut and my first name is awful. I was married to Diana, my wife, for 10 months when Tommy was born. How long have you and Richard been married? No offense, but you don't sound very happy in your marriage(I also have my PhD from Oxford). Yes, shame on me, but they have no 'Dad's Only' place, I've looked.

What are your children's whole names? Tommy is Thomas Jacob and Erin is Erin Dana. When did you work in the FBI?(from headquarters?). I used to have a partner who was a forensic pathologist name Dana. She loved Moby Dick(you s/n. ) How old are you, Dana? I'm 43.

Dana logged on. It was midnight but she promised herself to check her mail, just in case Richard e-mailed her a sorry letter. She noticed no letter from her husband so read FBIDad. She hit 'reply'

I was in the FBI from 1990-1998, when I left and met Richard. When did you graduate Oxford? Surely your name isn't that awful. Dana isn't exactly the most wonderful name in the world. I love Moby Dick. My Dad used to call me Starbuck, I called him Ahab. He died in 1994.

Erin Dana, nice name. Richard and I married in late 1998, in December. My children are William Fox and Emillia Katherine. My middle name is Katherine, so that's where we got that. How did you meet Diana? I bumped into Richard at the airport on my way to Michigan. I turned 40 in February. No, I'm not happy in my marriage. Richard's hardly home, and when he is he's no help. Did you decide to move to Connecticut, or were you transferred there?I quit the FBI and was offered a position in MI. Please tell me your name.

Fox Mulder read the mail and gulped. William Fox? Middle name Katherine? Dad called her Starbuck, she called him Ahab? In the FBI from 1990-1998? Dad died in 1994? 40 in February? Not possible. He hit 'Reply'

I met Diana in 1988, she was just out of Quantico. We had a sexual relationship. We discovered something called the 'X-Files' together. Possibly you've heard of them. Anyway, she left in 1990, in 1992 I met Dana. She was 29 then, and I loved her. Well, after 5 years of partnership with Dana, Diana came back to 'assist' us on a case. They burned the X-Files during that case. My Dana quit the FBI, I don't know where she went. I ended up marrying Diana and having Tommy and Erin. I still love Dana more then Diana, but I must admit, my Dana was an earth angel, I didn't deserve her. I graduated Oxford in 1983. I graduated Quantico in 1987. I was a profiler, still am. I was considered one of the best. I helped to catch Monte Props in 1988. Then I discovered the X-Files and Diana left. Dana came and together in 1994, we helped to catch Eugene Victor Tooms. Maybe you knew Dana or I? I was 'Spooky' and she was 'Mrs Spooky' and/or 'Ice Queen'? She wasn't an Ice Queen. Maybe I was spooky, but she wasn't Ice. Where did you get Fox, out of curiousity? I'm sorry about your father. I lost my father in 1994 as well, he was shot. My names Fox. It's awful, isn't it? So, where did you get your Fox? Maybe then I can know where my parents got my name. I was transfered to CT.

DRSTARBUCK: Richard's in the air. He seems to always be in the skies lately. He left on the 30th of November...he was supposed to be back last night...he hasn't called me since the 3rd.

DRSTARBUCK: You were being a little selffish, that's all.... you were depressed about the fire, it's human nature.

FBIDAD: I'm still atheist.... but I'm raising Tommy and Erin Catholic, just because I have no beliefs doesn't mean they don't need to have some.
DRSTARBUCK: I thought you were jewish.
FBIDAD: In the 5 years of our partnership, faith in you and your religion saved me more then judiasm ever did.
DRSTARBUCK: What was Diana?

FBIDAD: She was protestant. . I have Diana, have I mentioned that? But after 8 months the kids and I have a routine, which is nice.
DRSTARBUCK: Yeah, I know what that's like.... Richard wants more kids, but he's not here to raise them.
FBIDAD: I wouldn't mind one more...
DRSTARBUCK: Mulder! I'm a married *catholic* woman!

Dana had never been so happy to escourt Richard on a flight. They had decided they would go on this flight, Dana would stay in CT for a week with the kids to go Christmas shopping, and Richard would come back in 7 days for her.

She was holding William's hand and was holding Emma's carrier as she kissed Rich goodbye at the airport.

"I do love you Dana, but I understand..."

"I love you too, I mean, we have William, Emma and Lauren together...even if Lauren is gone, we still had her...."

"I think your right though. I'm not home enough to be a husband. I'll see you in a week. Bye Wills!" Rich said, hugging William.

"Bye Emmy. "he said, kissing Emma's baby cheek.

"Bye!" he called, running as he was being paged overhead.

"Come on Will, we got places to go and people to see!" Dana said, taking William's hand and going to the awaiting limo.

Fox Mulder was playing baseball with Tommy in his front lawn and Erin was swinging in the baby swing watching when a limo pulled in the driveway.

"DADDY! A LIMO!" Tommy said, running to the car.

Much to Mulder's delight and surprise, out stepped Dana Scully-Nichols, holding a little boy's hand and carrying a little girl with a trussle of red curls.

"Hi! My name's Tommy, what's your name?" Tommy asked, running to William. "Will, or Wills. How old are you? Are you my Mommy's friend's son?"

"I think so...I'm 5. How old are you?"

"5. That's my baby Emma, or Emily, or Emmy."

"Your baby?" Tommy asked.

"Well...my sister, but I love her."

"That's my sister, Erin, but I call her airhead. Do you like toy trucks?" "I love them!"

"Daddy, can I show Wills my toy trucks?" "Sure Tommy, Daddy and Wills Mommy will be inside in a while," Mulder said as Tommy and William ran into the house. "Scully?" Mulder asked, looking in disbelief at the woman in front of him. She was as beautiful as he remembered, except instead of a suit she was in jeans and a t-shirt.

"Yeah, Mulder?"

"What are you doing here?" he asked, smiling at her as he stepped closer.

"See, I met this great guy on the internet.... he convinced me to convince my pastor to annul me and leave my husband. . and I just had to come see him."

"Oh, really, anyone I know?"

"Maybe, he's smart, and funny and feverant about life," he said smiling at him.

"Is this Emma?"

"Sure is."

"She's adorable."

"So's Erin. . so, you gonna kiss me?"

"Be my pleasure."
