In a fit of boredom coupled with dissatisfaction the way Season Eight was progressing, Scully3776 took creative license and inserted a year in between Season Eight and Season Nine to write a short fanfic about a married agent  named Dr. Jerilyn Starkweather, who joined the X-Files shortly after William's birth.  After completing a Quantum Leap crossover fic called Leaping the Truth (later renamed Future Past Present) Spookykat joined Scully3776 to start a fanfic series continuing the X-Files mythology (... or salvaging the X-Files mythology might be a better phrase to use, but that's a debate for a different time... ) as witnessed and experienced by an agent who thinks like Scully but acts like Mulder...
So here they are, three years, two virtual seasons and 17 stories later with more to come...
